Does your church have a visible crucifix?

Mine has an 8 foot brass cross with a bronze corpus on it suspended above the altar

What is really neat is that there are two spotlights on it that cast a shadow of the cross on each side; the shadows are remisicent of the thieves’ crosses.

Ours is suspended from the ceiling over the Altar, tilted slightly forward, and about 10’-12’ in height.

Not having touched it it looks like wood, encased in glass with silver/brass hardware.

I wish I had a picture. It’s quite beautiful. The only part of my Church I find beautiful other than the Tabernacle in the Chapel (which is hardly a prominent place). 😦

before our church have a life size 3-D crucifix elevated at the centre of the altar but later it was removed and replaced by an image of ressurected Christ. But we still have a smaller crucifix near the altar.
