Does your parish do something that is different than most Catholic churches you have attended? Do you like it?

My parish does a few things that are just a little different than other parishes I have belonged to. I really like a few of these:
  1. First pew(on the right, you will see why below) is reserved for those who are in walkers, wheelchairs etc. The second pew is for their family to sit right behind them. We seem to have a problem though during holidays when the C and E people come in and don’t know this and sit there since it is not posted.
  2. EVERYBODY goes up to the alter at communion. If you are not able to receive communion because you are too young or not Catholic, you cross your arms over your chest and you go up for a blessing. I love this tradition!!!
  3. The lector most of the time sits with their family in the front left pew near the lectern. I like this too because you can still be with your family at mass.
