Does your parish use the golden patins for Holy Communion?

I remembered to make note of ours yesterday. It isn’t gold. Ours is a shiny “silver” metal with a wooden handle.
 
No I definitely saw it in II vatican council books I have here. I have volume II but cannot find volume one. I’ll take a look tomorrow because thats the only place I remember seeing it.

If they are so minsicule that they cannot be recognised as bread, then the Church teaches that the Real Presence is no longer there. Dust is not the Blessed Sacrament.

Agreed; but only a priest or deacon is qualified in determining that left over particles on a Paten are dust. And really as far as norms are I’ve never seen any priest not purify a chalice even if he can’t see left over particle remnants from the host he uses for himself. Same goes for hand-held patens used in some parishes. Both chalices and ciboria are always purified even if one does see droplets or particles left inside the sacred vessels.

EMHC’s are directed to follow prescribed norms when given the task of purifying sacred vessels.
