Does your priest ever mention sin in his homilys?

A couple of thoughts on sin:
  1. Karl Menninger wrote a book over fifty years ago entitled: Whatever Happened to Sin?
  2. I understand the New Oxford Dictionary, Children’s Edition does not include the word.

Most parishes have the confession on Saturday afternoon or “by appointment”. Confession is important but unfortunately most overworked priest these days hardly have the time for a half hour of hearing confessions once a week, let alone every day.

Our priest (from the FSSP) speaks about sin frequently. Maybe that’s why the line for confessions is so long! I’m glad so many people are anxious to confess their sins, but the lines are so long that it’s very difficult to get in! And the confessional is open every day!
