This is a very good article on how “busy-ness” - even with good intentions of serving God - can keep us from growing closer to Him. Click here

This is a lesson I’ve been learning personally the last few years and understanding what is expressed in this article really is only the beginning.

For me, I learned that stepping back and being still actually takes great effort because many people think you are being lazy or should step up and “do” more for God.

And there is a time & place for that … but only after you first draw close to Him.

Please read the article - I think you will be blessed 🙂

I completely agree with this. It amazes me how often performing the ritual of organized charity, and I mean ritual, translates to “solid, good Christian.” I even wonder if these organizations actually attract and nourish a particular sort of hardened, pseudo-Christian. But if someone is getting water or food or blankets who cares about the why and how. It all works out in the end I guess.

It is not the magnitude of our actions, but the amount of love that is put into them that matters. Mother Teresa

We are told that GOOD WORKS are not necessarily
GOD’S WILL(Hebrews 13:21)
We are SAVED by God’s PRE-DETERMINED will
NOT by our good deeds, altho we will be rewarded
according to the things done in this life!(Eph. 1:3;
Rev. 22:12)
