Not sure what you mean here? Dom Alcuin Reid is a highly respected liturgist who has written many globally-reknowned works, helped put together many important liturgical works (Little Office of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Monastic Diurnal, etc…), and received accolades from many, including Card. Ratzinger himself. He is hardly some ill-informed layman with a chip on his shoulder.
