Is it just one parish I visit or do they all talk with the same tempo, inflection, accent in homilies? And yes, I mean the Order of Preachers not those who hail from the Dominican Republic.
In terms of accents, I’ve known Dominicans with English accents and with Irish ones. As for speaking style, I haven’t noticed. I’m a lay Dominican, and I don’t think I sound like them.
