Donating Eyes

Can anyone tell me whether one can donate Eyes according to christainity.

I can not find it right now, but I believe that there are “off-limits” body parts to donate. I seeem to recal that this includes 1) the brain (which I understand is not yet really an issue because there still are not brain trnasplants, and 2) the reproductive organs.
 
My father, who recently passed away, donated his eyes. As he was 83, we were told they would be used for research, not transplantation. Either way, they are of real benefit.

The recently deceased actor who played Lenny Brisko on Law and Order donated his eyes. I thought that was a wonderful thing to do.

You’d need to be really desperate to take mine, but I am sure they can be used for study.

No problem since they aren’t ever used for tranplantation!😃
