Okay, I have several unused rosaries that I have had given to me over the years, and now I have a mounting abundance of them collecting in my nightstand 😦 Only one of my rosaries has sentimental value to me and it is the one that I use, so I would like to donate the others to a missions organization or something like that. I have looked on line and I have found several sites to GET a rosary, and only a couple that want to get donated rosaries, but it seems that they want old rosaries to refurbish. But mine are plastic, or just inexpensive ones (but still in good condition). Any suggestions as to who might want them??

Do you have a Catholic hospital or nursing home near you? Or maybe a funeral home? They may be able to use them.

Our local Knights of Columbus make/collect rosaries for missions.
You might want to check with them in your area.

I get a number of rosaries in the mail; some quite good. I give them to the DRE for prizes in CCD classes.

RCIA can also probably use some rosaries.

Many people leave extra rosaries in the adoration chapel or the pamphlet rack. They disappear rapidly; so presumably are put to good use.

Leave them on the pamphlet table at your church with alittle post it saying “donated rosaries”.

At our cathedral there is a little table where people can leave things.

Great ideas guys. Thanks. I will check with the K of C, and I might leave a couple in the adoration chapel and see what happens. 🙂

One year a nice gentleman approached my mother and brother (who was… ohh… 10, maybe, at the time) and asked my mother “May I give your son this?” It was a rosary in a plastic bag (tiny ziploc) and a dollar bill or a 5 dollar bill. He did this at either Easter or Christmas.

I would suggest this? Maybe it will help someone young!
