Did you ever stop to think that maybe its not us but rather its YOU that’s the problem?
I used to hear frequently (and still do) from my peer in their late teen and twenties (I’m twenty) that it was impossible to find suitable partners. No one was reasonable enough, pious enough, mature enough, and everyone suffered from being “all exactly the same”. It’s funny, that out of the billions of guys and gals out there, that [the general] YOU are the ‘different’ and ‘special’ one.
Truly, to complain about such an unfortunate, completely make-believe situation, you have to be lacking in one or all of the above yourself. How reasonable is it that you’re unique? That you’re a saint among sinners? the only one who doesn’t follow fads or secular “evils”?
Most of the people I talked to were genuinely sad that they hadn’t met anybody yet who had the same qualities as them. Most of these people were females.
What they needed to do (and some did! To their happiness) was quit being unreasonable and negative, and actually get out and meet people! Don’t expect them to fall into your lap!
I was for a little while (18 years until I met my ‘bestie’) one of those ‘special’ ones. Although, I just considered myself sorta weird. Didn’t like TV, partying, the drinking and drugs scene, sexual deviancy, gossip, stupidity, immaturity…the list goes on. I’d just learned to live amongst this society, make friends in it, without taking part in the activities or deriving any joy from the sins that I witnessed, and be accepting. Don’t turn people away because they’re not up to your “standards”. Love them; they need it. Spread your charity; it’ll bring hearts to you.
(sorry in advance for typos)
