I have been thinking so much about CAF and I wonder “What would it be like to meet these wonderful people?”.

It is frustrating at times because when people are going through a rough time you wish you could just take them a casserole or pie and let them know you are there.

Then, I thought to myself, heavens NO! They know much, MUCH, too much about me. 😃

Seriously though, I am so grateful for the friendship on this forum.

I met jrabs at a Father John Corapi conference! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

It would sure be interesting to actually meet to face to face some of the people we have been posting to. Another interesting thought, would we know each other by the conversation if not introduced?(or at least be able to make a pretty good guess)
BTW, that was really a loving thought, am referring to taking someone a pie or casserole to let them know you were there in a rough time. Or if you could touch their hand, givea hug. But we can and do pray and that is invaluable.

so much of the compassion and understanding that I have been shown on this site has really helped me through my troubled times.
I am both thankful and greatful that I have had all of you to talk to. You have reassured me and helped me back to sleep on many nights!!

This forum has also helped me alot during my toughs times especially the responses I get. People here are so kind and gentle and they really have big hearts. Just image the support group we would have if we were all close by to each other.

There are alot of people here who are going through such a tough time. And you say to yourself what are you complaining about moaning and groaning about your little problems when other people have it so much worse off.

There are some people here that you could just give them a hug and say “Everything is going to be fine” then there a some that you feel like shacking and say hey “Get rid of that negativity” it is not the end of the world.

But there is comforting in knowing that there are such wonderful people out there. And I thank God for that. That people all over the world our praying for us and for healing or for whatever we need.

When I don’t have anything else to wonder about, I occasionally wonder what it would be like if there was a Catholic Answers parish that we all attended. Could you imagine how active that parish would be? And if a Non-Catholic church came by and tried to drop off literature, can you imagine how thouroughly they’d be answered? How well catechised the kids would be? How many vocations we’d have and how long the confession lines would be? (Of course we’d offer the NO and Tridentine masses, so people could take their pick 😛 )

Wouldn’t that be cool!👍

I met Michael C at a Father Corapi conference.

We could all sign up for the cruise!
ooooo. I like that idea. Except, would we have to carry around little signs with smileys on them? That could be difficult in the pool.

It’d certainly be a pretty darn big parish - how many thousand members did we have at last count? :ehh:

I met someone from a Catholic email list I am on at the Midwest Catholic Family Conference last year! 😃
I just wish I had some good solid Catholics to talk to IRL. Since we’ve moved, I don’t know a lot of people in our parish, and most of them aren’t real orthodox in their practice of the faith. Sigh. I love you guys!!

I met someone at a Midwest Catholic Conference too in 2005. Great experience and we have become good friends. 👍

I think we would have a great parish if we all ever got together. 🙂

No way. There are already 4 who I have met on here and that is 4 too many

I met up with someone I met on a Catholic message board once - I ended up marrying him!! 😃 So be careful what you ask for!
