Is it correct to say that the Pope is not above God? I know he is the Vicar of Christ, but it sounds kinda protestant to say that he is not above God, although it doesn’t seem wrong to me. In a discussion of class i said that, and i also said that he should serve God. Did i speak well or say some heresy?

No one, but i ask that because my teacher made a question: “What if the Pope approves the confession with robots [at least i understood that]? the catholics should obey, isn’t?”
And than i said that he is not above God and the Church would never approve that thing.

Since no one is above God, why would it sound “kinda protestant” to say that the Pope isn’t? The Pope himself wouldn’t say that he is above God. :woman_shrugging:t2:

Yes, I think this is scrupulous, because in my class there are some Protestants who must have liked my sentence.

The teacher gave you a hypothetical situation and you responded well.

I’m not sure why the teacher framed it as the pope making an obvious error. Was the lesson about papal infallibility or the sacrament of Reconciliation?

In fact, the teacher showed us a video in which a girl says that the Church has licensed to use apps that help prepare us to confess. Shortly thereafter, she said a hypothesis of robots hearing confession. Then I argued with the teacher, however, he thought I was complaining about the apps, so he talked about the Pope. It was a misunderstanding after all
