What do I do. It’s Judaism at the moment, but it’s a vicious cycle. I guess, if anyone wants to take a stab at any refutations, PM me, but I’m asking for spiritual advice. How do I get out of this situation(al depression).

Jesus, have mercy on me. Jesus heal me. Jesus, save me. Jesus, free me.

Praying to the Holy Spirit to give you guidance, direction, strength, fortitude & wisdom back to the Catholic Church.

I’ve always found that the miraculous Image that Rabbi Yeshu left on His burial linen to be of great assistance in such times. There is lot’s of fabulous research, both historical and scientific in this regard. Don’t be fooled by the spurious C-14 dating. The Historically Consistent Hypothesis shows that such a date is exactly what we should expect.

Plus, it feels like part of me wants to destroy my faith, a less conscious part. I feel hopeless. All my mind needs is something to doubt on, and it will. When it’s an established faith or lack there of with apologetics, oh, boy. I need help. Prayers, advice, anything.

Does anyone know what I mean?

Would you go to a post office and ask for a physical examination? Or would you waste your time asking a doctor about the cost of an air mail stamp?

Presumably not, because you would have no faith in their ability or willingness to assist with such matters.

And here you are, in the right place asking about your doubts, because you know the truth that the Church has answers to those questions. But you also know that you may never be fully satisfied intellectually, and perhaps part of you would rather ‘know something for sure’. The bad news, that is not likely in this earthly sphere, not in a material sense as would necessarily be recognized by a committed atheist for example. The good news, you are here, and for a reason.

Pray. Pray. Pray. Let God lighten your burden. I will pray for you also.

Well, I am praying for your intentions and would like to suggest you speak to someone about your feelings of hopelessness.

You have found the root of the problem. You want it to be false. Maybe not consciously, but you seem to have a logical brain that has gone a bit overboard. Let it go. It’s called “Faith”, not “Know Everything”. 🙂 Prayers shall be said.

This is very insightful. Human beings suffer from concupiscence, which is a tendency toward sin… With spiritual disciplines, we can become more conscious of the parts of ourselves that want to destroy our faith, and overcome them by His grace.

Fortunately we don’t have to go by our feelings.

It sounds like you might benefit from sme mental health treatment.
