So there are these new ads for Dove on billboards and such that show “women with real curves” wearing white underwear. I’ve heard people comment “oh, isn’t that nice - they’re not afraid to use models who are larger than size 2”. Other people find them kind of repulsive, because, well, the women are larger than size 2.
Lost in the whole debate is this question: when did it become acceptable to parade around in public in your underwear? When did it become ok to plaster such pictures on large billboards?
