Just look at it! No browser junk cluttering the screen anymore!

OK, in all seriousness this is technically a Chrome App. I’ve tested out Chrome’s feature of turning websites into apps on the computer, but today was the first day I saw an “Install” button appear in the URL/search bar. It just happened to come up when I came to CAF. The thing is, it seems to be very selective (e.g. didn’t show up when I went to Reddit). Not sure if I wasn’t supposed to see it or if they’re still working out bugs.
The main advantage here is that it allows you to use some OS features to aid web browsing. The main disadvantage (for me) is that it is just a new Chrome window, and I tend to prefer browsing with tabs. Still, I like the idea of converting some sites (e.g. Google Docs) to feeling more like standard apps.
Disclaimer: I work for Google, but this isn’t an ad. I was genuinely just a bit surprised to see the install button when going to CAF and thought I’d share.
