Hi,

I am 16 almost 17. And my family and I had our computer backed up and all our files our gone pictures, and things we have in microsoft word, and all our itunes music we purchased. I have music on my ipod that I have downloaded illegally. And when I went to my 2nd confession I said I downloaded music illegally. Should I take all the songs I illegally downloaded off my ipod? And can I put CD’s back on my ipod when I reinstall it? I think I have to reinstall it so I can put all my music back on. I am confused on what to do with my music, is it a good idea for me to delete the songs I have on my ipod that I downloaded illegally, and can I still put my CD’s back on my ipod? All my CD’s are ones I have burned. What should I do? I am so confused? I starting to feel scrupulous again. And if someone could get back to me I would be so greatful.

God Bless you.
from, Amy.

Personally, I got rid of all the music I had that I did not purchase. I downloaded a huge amount of music before Napster was declared illegal and much of this I had made into CDs. I got rid of it all. It was tough but you’ll feel better.

Simple. And by your “tone,” you already know the answer. The guilt you feel is your answer.

Delete the illegally downloaded music. All legally obtained music is of course yours to keep.

Hey wait a minute!

If you downloaded music before it was illegal. That means it was legal. It is after it became illegal, that it was illegal. You just have to sort through your music to decide which music did you download when it was legal to do so.:ouch: Nevermind,it’s late I’m going to bed! Good night.
