I was listening to her show and she was thanking everyone for their condolences for the death of her son. I don’t know if I misunderstood or if this is an old show. Just wondered if anyone could shed some light on what happened.

Her oldest son recently past away from a heart attack. He was very young and recently became a dad.

Please pray for her family in their time of need.

Poor Coleen–first her sister and now her son. She has been through so much this year!! I will be praying for her.

Her son was 29. I heard about this when it happened because her daughter was in town here for a conference. I wondered when the word would start getting around. I would think it would be very hard to get back into a job on the radio, where you have to be so perky, after such a loss. Hopefully it is a comfort to be able to continue to help others and to know of the prayers of her listeners.

To be able to answer peoples’ questions on psychological issues after such a great tragedy (actually 2 of them) is one who elevated by the Grace of God and the mantle of Mary1

Absolutely! I was so shocked when the news I about drove off the road. Anyone with children has had the nighmare of harm coming to them–and can empathize with the horror of that trauma becoming real. She is a gift to all who listen to her wise words and she is certainly in my prayers.

Another woman who is so brave in the face of tragedy is Johnette Benkovic. First she lost her son, and now her husband has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. We must pray every day that God sustains these holy warriors.

Is she also on the radio? I did hear about another female host whose son was in an auto accident perhaps last year this time.

I’ve been praying for her since her son died in the car accident after surviving the war in Iraq. I was amazed to read a story recently that the biggest killer of soldiers returning from the Iraq War is car accidents.
