Dr. Gene Scott - Televangelist - Dies at 75

The last time I caught his show channel surfing he was beardless and was going into the hospital for some kind of operation within a few days do to some recent test results. He didn’t look well. I was always amazed at the cult like behavior of his employees. I never new if that was part of the gig or if they really were behaving that way out of having to to keep him from going off on them. The most entertaining part of his program was his wife’s singing, which was good, but strange in how she always had to look his way every few seconds.

Not on a regular basis but he was such a colorful character in our local area at the time, that I often enjoyed some of his antics - they lent a spirit of light humor and irony to the political scene.
