I was listening to her program today and was pleasantly surprised. She had a caller who had been reared Catholic. The caller made the comment that she was now Christian. Dr. Laura corrected her and said Catholics are Christian you are now Protestant.

I was stunned.đź‘Ť

Years ago, I hear her correct a person who said Catholics weren’t Christians. Dr. Laura told the caller that she was pretty sure that the corpus on the cross was Christ.

She seems to have a lot of respect for Catholics. I wonder where she is on her faith journey since she has left Judaism?

I’ve heard that she can be very self-righteous. However, I recently saw her on Hannity and Colmes (talking about female immodesty), and she made a lot of sense. Her opinion was completely in line with the Catholic Church.
 
I think I remember hearing that Dr. Laura had one parent who was Catholic (although I"m not sure if a practicing Catholic) and one who was Jewish). Maybe that’s why she’s knowledgeable and respectful of the Catholic faith?

Or perhaps because she sees that Catholicism is more Jewish as far as it is Biblical, than most denomenations.
 
Far and away I enjoyed listening to her more than any other radio person. Sadly, the gays got her knocked off of WLS about 6 years ago and I’ve not heard her since. She is a treasure.

I believe she was baptized in the Church, but otherwise not raised in the Church.
 
I almost always agree with Dr. Laura… it’s jsut that… when she was taught to “Speak the truth in love” they forgot to teach the “in Love” part. So harsh.
