Dream of snakes chasing

I asked God for a dream last night regarding my 17 year old daughter. She talks to people that have bad influence on her plus I found out she smokes marijuana once in a while. My dream was about snakes in a barn and mid size stones. It was daylight, but at the same time it looked dim. The snakes were behind some wood bars. One of my young daughters looked at the snakes, as I looked back, there was a brown cobra just looking at me while the other snakes were anxious for something. I grabbed my two young kids and started running. The snakes seemed fast but at the same time it was like they couldn’t catch up to us. What meaning is there to this dream? Can anybody help?

Dreams don’t necessarily have an interpretation to divine from them. It’s probably a reflection of your fears regarding her peers.
 
If this dream was sent by God it would be clear enough that you could tell exactly was He meant.
 
It sounds like it was just a dream, but snakes? Maybe asking St. Patrick to intercede wouldn’t hurt. His bravery and unwavering faith converted plenty of wild people.
 
I agree with Fauken. I would say this is just a reflection of your fear that your child or children are being menaced or in bad company, and you want to protect them or rescue them.
 
Not necessarily. Not everyone can interpret dreams. But thanks. Every opinion counts.
 
God would’t send a dream as a riddle for you. The God-sent dreams I’m familiar with have been clear in their meaning:
  • "And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they departed for their country by another way. "
  • “… behold, the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, “Rise, take the child and his mother, flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. Herod is going to search for the child to destroy him.””

It seems Jesus wants you to pray fervently and take care of them both spiritually and otherwise.,snakes are the sign of evil spirits or sin Sirach 21:2 Flee from sin as from a snake;for if you approach sin, it will bite you.Its teeth are lion’s teeth,and can destroy human lives…which you need to advice your daughter or ask for any nun you know well to speak to her or and Priest foe spiritual counselling.

You can use sacramental like holy water ,Benedict medal or miraculous medal .

Most of all spend time with your daughter ,pray together the Rosary or family prayers ,you can visit some places like orphanages,hospitals old-age homes ,just to make them what life really is . Encourage them to go for the sacrament of Confession.but do all these with out force ,gently and patiently take you time do do such things.

The dream is telling you to pray for your daughter to protect her from the bad influences represented by the snakes.
Bad influences is what took this girl down the wrong path:
 
I have a dream once a year about snakes ,always in the early Spring before it warms up…I’m having to leap over them and in the end kill quite a few.
In reality I do live in part of the world with snakes warming up at that time of year ,so I put it down my mind preparing to be on alert :thinking:and some times I do have to kill them.

I would say your snake dream is a result of worry and wanting to defend your children .
 
I have had that one a few times, as well as spiders, and once gators. Sometimes a dream is just a dream.

Pharaoh was a human being given a Dream by God; Pharaoh didn’t know what it meant. Therefore if one does not know what a dream means it doesn’t follow that it wasn’t from God.
