Dreams - Disturbing

Over the last several weeks I have had various disturbing dreams with idolatrous and satanic messages and these trouble me a lot. After I woke up after one I also felt good about it even when I hated it. What could be the origin of these? Please also pray for me that these things stop.
 
I’m wondering why you’d feel good about it? Can you go into any detail of what your dream was about?
 
Before you go to sleep fill your mind with images and music of a holy nature: see if that helps. Do you pray before sleep? That might also help.

I noticed that some people might be plagued with persistent nightmares if they have unconfessed sin or unforgiveness of another’s.

Anything about your life change when the dreams started to happen?

Did you start watching horror movies? Move to a new place? Become more serious about your faith?
 
The dream was of a priest holding up the Eucharist and saying “behold the Lamb of God behold him who takes away the sins of the world” but in his had was also a pagan idol deity. The dream was filled with a mix of both Christian and pagan imagery.
 
I do pray before I sleep and have watched a Gregorian chant video before as well but I’m not sure how far this has helped.
 
I’ve become more serious about becoming closer to Christ lately and I am concerned about my spiritual state but this has been the case for some time now. I have been watching more Fr. Ripperger videos, though.

Maybe it is because you watch these videos too much. It can enter your subconscious and then come in dreams.
I suggest you to speak with priest. He can help you determine cause and solution.
 
Dreams are your mind’s way of working out stress, fears, hopes, aspirations, often by splicing together from what you have been reading/watching/talking about/seeing everyday.

Last night I dreamed my parents had a houseboat and we had many people aboard and then someone starting bombing the boat. I’ve been watching “spy MI6” stuff lately.

We cannot control our dreams, and to wake feeling good from a wild dream is not a sin.

This is why!!! Don’t look too much into these dreams. I had scary dreams when I was getting serious about faith as well. It’s just your inner fears and also because you are watching all the catholic videos.
 
Just an idea: Talk to a priest about the dreams.
You can try using holy water before bed and pray over your home. You can sprinkle holy water in your home also.
Make the sign of the cross before bed and consider saying the St Michael prayer. 🙂
