We have enough threads on women dressing modestly. It’s common knowledge that men are more visually-oriented than women. But that doesn’t mean that women don’t see anything. That doesn’t mean women aren’t visually attracted to men. Men, it does matter what you wear. Please keep your shirts on.

and teenagers (boys and girls) puh’leez pull up your pants!! Underwear is just that UNDER wear!!:o

And guys, if you wear shorts, please wear them long enough so that they leave something to the imagination when you sit down.

I was just discussing this with my hubby the other day. He has heard my thoughts on the thread about modesty for women…

so I brought up the fact that males of all ages go without shirts in the summer all the time.

I agree that women are not as visual as men, but has anyone been around a “boy-crazy” teenage girl???

Men need to take some responsibilty too.

I think modesty (for men too) should include trying to not be offensive to others. For example, I am offended when our resident gardener walks around without his shirt on, because he is doing his laundry. I am not at all attracted by this. I simply have no desire to see this.

The same goes for teenagers-all of them! It is SO disgusting when boys’ pants are coming down. It is TMI. And girls, you all have breasts. It becomes very ordinary and not at all lady-like when you attempt to dress like Brittany Spears.

Which do you think is worse, causing someone to have lustful thoughts or completely repulsing them? At least, they might me able to stop their lustful thoughts.

I must be strange, because it doesn’t both me when men go around without their shirts. I honestly have no more sexual thoughts toward men with their shirts on as opposed to men with their shirts off. :ehh: Maybe there is something wrong with me.

No, nothing wrong with you.🙂

As we know, women are less visual than men. That can mean one of two things;
  1. We are less impacted by all men without shirts
or
  1. we are only impacted by a select few men without shirts
Most men without shirts that I see are just plain unattractive. The ones who are attractive don’t send me into a tailspin of lust, lol.

But some women (I tend to think it’s mostly teen and young girls) go absolutely crazy for half naked men with great bodies.

After all, someone has to be frequenting those male strip/dance shows and buying those calandars with half naked firemen in them.😃

Yup, I agree, men keep those shirts on. yowsah! I ain’t a teen, but I find it hard not to “Praise the Lord” for the wonders of creation…

I have to keep my shirt on…I take it off and I blind everyone within Line Of Sight…Just wearing shorts puts people into seizures. 😃

Women are very visually attracted … in fact sometimes I think they are more so then men. Women just hide it more.

Women like to make is seem like they are not into looks, but my experience has proven otherwise. Women take hard looks at guys all the time. I’ve had groups of girls say some rather bold things to me. I can even recal I girl I worked with who wouldn’t stop looking at my chest. Women in my experience are very superficial. They just like to claim that they are not.

Agree with you 100%!! Be sure to keep your pants pulled up, men (mostly teenaged ones), because butt cracks are a BIG turn off!

Depends on the woman. It is much easier to notice the more bold female who is acting in a manner that is not appropriate then to notice the modest, well behaved young woman acting as she should. That might be why the women that you meet seem so superficial. You could be completly overlooking some very nice females. By the way, what kind of work do you do? You said that there was a girl that couldn’t stop staring at your chest. Didn’t you have a shirt on?

Aren’t you in Alaska where it is cold? Maybe taking your shirt off causes you to suffer from hypothermia related hallucinations, only making you think that people are having seizures because of you.😃 😛

I’m gonna go with that one. My evidence: I managed to get an entire room-full of girls to cheer when I took my shirt off once. It’s was a hoot! :rotfl:

And ugh, I can’t stand pants that don’t fit right. I always wear a belt if I am worried that the waist on my pants are too large to stay at my waist without help (and finding pants cut long enough for me with a small waist is very difficult, so it isn’t uncommon for my pants to be too loose).

hey I was just working at an office with a shirt and tie on.

The only women who are not supreficial are the ones who believe in christ.

I have been known to turn my head once or twice at a guy with no shirt.

Yep! This is a NO CRACK zone!

Say NO to Crack!

I don’t know if this would follow into the category of modesty for men - but how about touch? I’ve heard in the past women are more “touch oriented” and for me at least this is very true. For example, when I see my dentist he will give me a squeeze on my shoulder when I’m getting ready to leave. Now don’t get me wrong, this is not a big deal, but I find something like that to be much more of an attraction than seeing a random guy with his shirt off.

I agree about the winks – especially the really quick, subtle ones from guys with twinkling eyes and nice smiles. Sigh…

Amen! I’m glad I’m not the only person in the world who realizes that women are visual, too.

By the way, I don’t think either men or women are “more” superficial. In my opinion, all people, male or female, who place too much importance on physical appearance, are superficial.
