Our babies (just turned 2 and 9 mo.) haveDark circles/light bags under their eyes…the little darlings somethimes we skip their naps or keep them up late, if we’re running errands together or visiting…**okay Moms .**and Dads… let me have it!!!
i’m craving humble pie anyway :o 😃

more coffee is a good thing, a greatful heart is a happy heart, and keep little prayer and scripture time for yourself.

:coffee: :coffee: ❤️ :bible1:

The coffee is for you BTW…

Do they have allergies? Dark circles don’t usually indicate tiredness in children, but allergies. Just FYI.

Mine aren’t allergic to anything, but had the dark undereyes for a while too.

Are you fair skinned?

My kids and I will both get dark circles if we are running around a lot. Sleep helps and so do bannans and a little extra iron for some reason .

-D

i would definately check for allergies. That is what mostly causes this in kids…but the allergies could be to almost anything from animals to plants or anything else that they are exposed to. It could even be dietary. Is it seasonal or is there something that you have been around or done differently lately?

one word:

D O C T O R

if you have concern, take them to a doctor. OK, it might cost you a penny or two, but it is your child. Also get the book WHAT TO EXPECT THE FIRST YEAR ( or something like that). Your babies are very blessed to have a mom who cares so much.

let me see - skipping naps and staying up late and all the little darlings have are dark circles under their eyes? They are still behaving normally? No problem - just give them a little more bed time…if you want to. A child will not die from not sleeping the eighteen hours a day! I loved when my kids napped and when they quit, I was the one with the bags and dark circles under my eyes and crankity-banks attitude…hey, wait a minute - that still describes me! 😃

YES!!! you all are so funny!!
GREAT!!!
THANKS!!!
DARCEE, NO MORE COFFEE FOR ME TONIGHT :bounce: :whacky: :rotfl:

Good night all!!

My dauther has “raccoon eyes” as we call them. Her biological father and grandmother both have this and I always thought it was hereditary. I never thought it could be allergies. We do have 2 dogs, of course. I think I’ll ask my doctor about this. Thanks everybody…

I have the dark circles myself, always have- no amount of sleep, allergy meds, or anything else gets rid of them. I only have seasonal allergies in the spring, and they’re not any worse then than they are during the rest of the year. Plus, both of my parents have the dark circles and pretty much everyone in my dad’s family has them, even the retirees who do get enough rest. I always figured it was hereditary.

It certainly can’t hurt to mention it to the doctor, though.

My sister always had bags under her eyes as a child and sometimes they got so dark it looked like she was bruised. My mom took her to the doctor and she was anemic. She took iron supplements and slept lots and eventually they went away. She still gets them now, at 17, but she doesn’t take iron anymore. So it could be anemia. I get them when my allergies flare up.

Have to second the iron supplements…

My son had terrible dark circles and it was due to anemia. After just a couple of weeks on vitamins and he’s much better. And you really should take them to a doctor, becuase anemia can lead to serious health problems in small children if left untreated.
