Does anyone know of any DVDs that would be useful in evangelization of the Catholic Faith? Maybe a DVD on the miracles of the Church or on apologetics; anything that puts across some of the proofs of our faith.

Oh yes! One source is Lighthouse Catholic Media they have dozens and dozens at only a few bucks each.

Michael Cumbie has some DVD’s which are quite interesting and informative for non-catholics.
He has CD’s and DVD’s mixed.

When you say “evangelization (sic) of the Catholic church”, do you mean (a) winning the lost for Christ, (b) recruiting them into Roman Catholicism, or (c) sharing the Gospel with Roman Catholics?

If you mean “a” or “c”, Way of the Master has some very good DVDs out.

look on the CA homepage for video and audio tapes, and some are now being made available on DVD
also check out EWTN media resources

actually since I cannot afford to buy all the EWTN tapes my teachers would like to use, we got wireless speakers for my computer so we can play archived programs in the conference room for the apologetics class on Wed. night. Used them for the first time last night for EWTN live broadcast, and archived program on Mormons. they work great.

Steve Ray’s series on great figures of the Church Mary, Peter, Jesus etc. are great for this purpose and are now coming out on DVD as well. The one on Peter is one of our favorites for the apologetics class, on authority, papacy foundations etc.

Fr. Corapi has a whole catalog of programs that may meet your needs.

Ascension press also has programs on specific topics, and distributes Marcello D’Ambrosio’s programs, he also has his own site, and some of his stuff is now on DVD

I know a lot here will criticize Alpha, but as an introduction to basic Christian beliefs for the unchurched it is outstanding, and good for Catholics when followed up by Alpha for Catholics and a supplement like Touching Jesus by D’Ambrosio.

Peter Kreeft’s “7 reasons to be Catholic” is excellent. He is a convert.
