Tis the season to buy gifts. However, we have gotten e-mails from companies asking us to confirm payment information. Be careful.

It could be from FedEx, eBay, PayPal, UPS or other companies you know but we’ve been advised not to click on any links in any e-mail, or send personal information to anyone. Contact any company about suspicious e-mails. We’re all busy, so just a heads up.

Peace,
Ed

A lot of fake FedEx emails are going around saying that the driver couldn’t deliver your package and to click on a link to fix it.

If there’s no note on your door, the driver was never there and any email you get about it is a scam.

if you’re naive enough to believe the e-mails and click on the links, then you deserve whatever happens to your computer or bank account.

Not everyone is computer literate. 😛

It is a good reminder, though. It’s sad that unscrupulous people take advantage of the Christmas season in such a way.

In general, any email that asks you to “click here” to fix something is going to be a scam.

That is a pretty harsh view. No one deserves to be conned out of money.

Thanks, Ed, for reminding us of the scams. Christmas season often brings a lot of them, since people are often busy and inattentive.

I can totally see my elderly mom falling for it! No I do t think she deserves to lose her life savings over a click!
