Greetings,

I am trying to gather all the Papal Encyclicals to read them. I only have the encyclicals from Pope Honorius III in 1216 to Pope John Paul II today.

I got them all from: papalencyclicals.net/

Now what I am looking for are the popes from the sucessor of St. Peter to the predecesor of Honorius III. Is there a good site with their writings, bios, etc?

Thanks in adance,
Asimis

Try newadvent.org/library/almanac_14388a.htm. It gives a summary with a link that goes into greater detail. I hope this helps.

You can get some writings, if you look up early Church Fathers. You can buy the Books too.

Faith of the Early Fathers. 3 Volume Set. by William A. Jurgens

Oh yea!
The Bible also has the letters of Peter.

There is a 38 volume set of books that contains some of the writings of some of the popes like Gregory the great and Leo the great. There are also many of there writings that are not translated into English yet. Gregorys homilies, among other writings, are only in latin.

I think the earliest writings known from any of the popes is that of Clement, which is in the 38 volume set. Here is a link to it.

Leo the Great and Gregory the Great are in volume 35 and 36. I am sure there are some other popes writings in this set.
