I recently read a book “The Mystical City of God”, written by Ven. Mary of Agreda. This book is a historical life of Mary, based on the vision of this nun. It is a wonderful book and I learned now how much important the role of Mary in the early Church, and how much the early Christians uphold and respected Mary.
You know that Mary is not mentioned much in the Gospel, and it was so because the Blessed Virgin herself requested the Gospel writer not to write the mystery about Her more than necessary to explain the mystery of Christ.
So, I wonder, is there any documents or writings by early Church about Mary? Because I really want to read them.

I can’t answer you’re question but I did want to post. I think it’s really awesome if we look at the last words of Mary spoken in scripture. Check out John 2… “Do whatever He tells you.”

Also, I think Mary of Agreda is super awesome. Did you research anything about her spiritual gift of bilocation… It’s pretty incredible stuff.

Sorry if this post serves as useless in regards to the original question. I just felt like responding!!!

God Bless

You should read “Glories of Mary” by St. Alphonsus Liguori.

Yes, in fact it’s in my upcoming list of books which I want to read. Because St Alphonsus is one of my favorite saint. May I know why do you recommend this book?
