In terms of the Easter Communion precept, are we required to receive Communion during the Easter Season if we have received at other times during the year?

we are required to confess our mortal sins once a year and to receive Holy Communion during the Easter Season, that is why it is called our Easter Duty.

When does Easter Season officially end? Is it Pentecost or Trinity Sunday?

Pentecost.

If you look at the readings at the US Bishops’ web site – usccb.org/nab/ – you’ll see that Pentecost is May 23. On May 24 the readings are for Monday of the 8th Week of Ordinary Time.

Thanx puzzleannie.:)👍

Catechism of the Catholic Church (CCC)

1389 The Church obliges the faithful to take part in the Divine Liturgy on Sundays and feast days and, prepared by the sacrament of Reconciliation, to receive the eucharist at least once a year, if possible during the Easter season. 224 But the Church strongly encourages the faithful to receive the holy Eucharist on Sundays and feast days, or more often still, even daily.

1415 Anyone who desires to receive Christ in Eucharistic communion must be in the state of grace. Anyone aware of having sinned mortally must not receive communion without having received absolution in the sacrament of pennance.

224 Cf. OE 15: CIC, can 920

OE Orientalium ecclesiarium (document by Pope Paul VI 11/26/1964)

CIC Codex Iuris Canonici (Latin for Canon Law)

CIC, can 920 is Canon Law 920

But the bolded phrase makes it sound like as long as one receives sometime during the year (I have received Communion multiple between the end of Easter Season 2009 and the beginning of Easter Season 2010), then receiving in Easter Season is not required.

From the Catechism:

2042
The first precept (“You shall attend Mass on Sundays and on holy days of obligation and rest from servile labor”) requires the faithful to sanctify the day commemorating the Resurrection of the Lord as well as the principle liturgical feasts honoring the mysteries of the Lord, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and the saints; in the first place, by participating in the Eucharistic celebration, in which the Christian community is gathered, and by resting from those works and activities which could impede such a sanctification of these days.82
Code:
The second precept ("You shall confess your sins at least once a year.") ensures preparation for the Eucharist by the reception of the sacrament of reconciliation, which continues Baptism's work of conversion and forgiveness.83
** The third precept (“You shall receive the sacrament of the Eucharist at least during the Easter season”) guarantees as a minimum the reception of the Lord’s Body and Blood in connection with the Paschal feasts, the origin and center of the Christian liturgy.
**

What reason would there be for NOT following this precept of the Church? It’s a pretty minimal requirement.

Note that it says
if possible during the Easter season.
I take that to mean that one needs a really grave reason for not doing it during the Easter season. If there is such reason, one should probably ask a priest for a dispensation to fulfill the duty at another time.

Yes. Also, if there is no opportunity, there is no duty. For instance, if you’re in Saudi Arabia where offering the Mass or practicing any religion except Islam, even in a private residence, is a crime, you will be lucky to find a Mass any time of year, let alone during Eastertide. If you are demented and cannot understand the Mass any more, there is no obligation. That kind of thing.

Why not receive during the Easter Season anyway? The season is nearly two months long, which is ample time for anyone unless you’re travelling or live in a remote area with no access to a priest or something.

I was under the impression that the in the United States there is an indult that extends the time for fulfilling the obligation until Trinity Sunday?

VC
My 1949 Baltimore Catechism says the time for fulfilling the obligation extends from the first Sunday in Lent to Trinity Sunday [both inclusive]. I think the reason for the long period was to accommodate the long distance between churches and the poor transportation in the early days of the United States. I have never seen any notice of change of this; so presume it is still valid.

Which is in line with canon law:
Canon Law:
Can. 920 §1. After being initiated into the Most Holy Eucharist, each of the faithful is obliged to receive holy communion at least once a year.

§2. This precept must be fulfilled during the Easter season unless it is fulfilled for a just cause at another time during the year.

Well, this is no longer an issue for me. I received the Sacrament of Reconciliation today followed by Communion at the Daily Mass.
