Easter morning Solemn High Mass - what's it like?

Hi

I’m becoming a Catholic this Easter vigil at my (Novus Ordo) parish. I don’t know if I’ll be allowed to receive the Eucharist again at the Sunday morning Mass as well? But I was thinking, that if I am, I’d love to go to the Oratory for the “Solemn High Mass” in Latin.

Have any of you ever been, and if so, what’s it like? How is it different from other TLM Masses?

is there a missal online that has the text for this Mass? …I don’t own a missal.

Here is the Order of the Mass, and here are the Easter Propers (readings) from the Tridentine Missal Project.

In the sprinkling rite at the beginning, note that Vidi Aquam replaces the Asperges Me in the sprinkling rite during Eastertide.

Also, being a Solemn High Mass, it will be celebrated with a deacon and a subdeacon (who will sing the Gospel and the Epistle respectively). Refer to this Wiki for the finer details, or watch this video narrated by Abp. Sheen.

You can receive Holy Communion twice in a day as long as the 2nd time is in Mass, so yes, you can do so in the morning Mass.

If the Vigil Mass is at midnight and you receive communion at that Mass (after midnight), you must abstain from sacramental Communion at Easter morning Masses and make a spiritual communion.

my Vigil Mass is before midnight… it starts at 8. Is it alright in that case?

This is incorrect; canon law permits a second reception of communion in the same day, if the second is during Mass.

Can. 917 A person who has already received the Most Holy Eucharist can receive it a second time on the same day only within the eucharistic celebration in which the person participates, without prejudice to the prescript of ⇒ can. 921, §2.

Can. 921 §1. The Christian faithful who are in danger of death from any cause are to be nourished by holy communion in the form of Viaticum.

§2. Even if they have been nourished by holy communion on the same day, however, those in danger of death are strongly urged to receive communion again.

He doesn’t need to anymore; read his reply above. I myself wasn’t aware of the earlier Canon restriction; even if it’s not binding anymore, just the same, it’s good to know.
