Hi!
My parents are both Eastern and Western rite Catholics (one is Eastern, the other is Western). I was baptized into the Eastern rite, but normally attend a Western rite church. I know to change rites you have to do it formally. But my question is, can I observe the Western rite laws of fast and abstinence? Or am I obligated to follow the Eastern rite laws. I ask because today if Friday, so I need to know!
