Hello (Easternly or Westernly) Christian Brethren…
Music is truly an important tool utilised in God’s worship.
Few years ago, I bought a Byzantine Musical CD
Entitled “Mysteries in Byzantine Chant” by Diaconescu
& Kontakion.
VERY NICE !!! Indeed also Mystical!
As this musical work may probably be from the Romanian
Orthodox Church, would you happen to know of some
CD titles from the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church,
Marionite, Ruthenian, Bulgarian, etc just like the works
of Diaconescu or Kontakion ?
Please kindly provide the exact title of the CD.
I am aware that there are a lot to be found in the internet…
BUT I can only guess the contents of those CDs…
That is why I would like to ask for my Christian Brethren’s
advise… i.e. Your advise…
Please kindly help me.
I am also very interested to learn about reading
Eastern rite music works… No doubt about it,
I can play classical piano and guitar via sight-
reading… I can also interpret the music… BUT
for Eastern rite music, I see these strange
Arabic like curves at the top of the musical staff…
I would love to learn the musicality in the East.
Any book/s suggestions ?
