What does filipino have to do with anything?
Heheheh, just the connection between me and the other people. It makes communication easier. If a Filipino sees another Filipino especially here in another country, it warms our heart. It makes for smoother business transactions because its like doing something for your family.

I imagine seeing another American in America isn’t thrilling, but if you are in Thailand or Vietnam or India, you’ll be jumping for joy 👍

I’m impressed with your dioceses! A local RCIA instructor asked a group of people which included me what content we thought was important to teach. I said mentioning the existence of the Eastern Catholic Churches. He said they didn’t have time to include stuff like that which could confuse neophytes. :doh2:

Talk to the pastor. Really.

To be totally blunt 90% of the Roman Church knows literally nothing about the Eastern Catholics, about 5% know little more than that they exist, and about 1%-2% of Romans outright reject that they are possible, even when confronted with the truth of it in church teachings.

I’ve had a Roman priest refuse to hear my confession because he didn’t know about and/or understand about the ECC’s.

And it’s important that people learn about them, to prevent repeat of the errors of the Roman Church in the US circa 1870-1910. Errors which resulted in the uncanonical but essential system of separate bishops now in use in the US and Europe.
