Dear all

First post on this thread! I am interested to know whether there are any Eastern Catholic Church Masses in London? Reason being, I am drawn to the Traditional Roman liturgy, but would like to know what other “traditional” liturgies I might attend to satisfy my Sunday obligation.

So, I’m looking for any Alexandrian, Antiochan, Armenian, Chaldean, Byzantine, etc Rite churches in London! I’d love to compare and contrast with the Traditional Latin liturgy!

Many thanks.

I will be following this thread with interest - however there is a Ukrainian-Greek Divine Liturgy (Byzantine Rite) daily and on Sundays - check their website cerkva.org.uk/ I went a couple of weeks ago and loved it. This is probably the most central (Oxford Street) available.

Interesting…

But I was puzzled by the “First Communion” pictures, as the UGCC several years ago returned to its original practice of infant Communion.

It depends on the make up of the community.

Many of the churches made up of emmigrants still have 1st Communion celebrations as well as Stations of the Cross and some other Latin devotions.

Ruthenian Catholics, at least in the USA, have 1st Penance celebrations for the kids that look just like this 1st Communion celebration.
