Hi all, so I’ve been doing some digging on the internet and have only been able to find a Maronite Church in Montreal. I go to college in Burlington, Vermont and I refuse to go to the Mass offered on campus so I usually go to Montreal for the Latin Mass. I was wondering if anyone is familiar with any other Eastern Catholic parishes in Montreal? I haven’t been to an Eastern liturgy in years and would love to again but I couldn’t find anything online…

Not certain if there are any Eastern Catholic Churches listed here on Masstimes.org, but I noticed 5 Catholic Churches in Burlington and a number of others in seemingly nearby communities.

Hope this may be of some help. Prayers are with you! 🙂

A tool that seems to work well is going to Google maps and typing “Eastern Catholic” into the search field. It will only give you results that appear on the map, and with webpages if appropriate. That also tells you at a glance what is close to you.

We have some nice parishes in the area, but I don’t attend the new mass… some very rich and historic parishes in the area though!

There are several others in the Greater Montréal area:

Syriac CC: in the area too: Paroisse St-Ephrem, 3000, rue Edouard-Montpetit Chomedey Laval (450) 682-7546

Chaldean: Eglise Chaldéenne Catholique des Saints-Martyrs-d’Orient, 44 rue Guizot Ouest Montreal (514) 381-2436

Armenian CC: Notre-Dame-de-Nareg de Montréal, 858, boul. de la Côte-Vertu, Saint-Laurent, (514) 748-6435

Coptic CC: Notre-Dame-d’Egypte, 3569, boul. Lévesque Ouest, Chomedey Laval (450) 682-8244

The Melkites are also present in Montréal. mliles.com/melkite/indexmelkiteothercanada.shtml

Actually, I’m going on a pilgrimage to St. Joseph Oratory in Montreal, and am making a special trip over to a Coptic Catholic parish in Montreal.

They celebrate in French and Arabic, but have Missals in seven languages, including English

Thanks for the links folks! I’m going to have to make time to visit all of these. The language gap could get interesting though… I better start freshening up on my French.
