Eastern Orthodox dating

Hello all,
Dating question. I know we share many essential beliefs with our Orthodox brothers and sisters. What do you think about dating someone who is from a Greek orthodox (for example) background? Avoid future issues? Or is it acceptable?

The Greek Orthodox are not an Eastern Rite Catholic Church.

They are part of a separate Communion called Eastern Orthodox.

You should try to find someone who is a Catholic to date, but if you fall in love with a Greek Orthodox it’s okay as long as you don’t abandon Communion with the Roman Church and become schismatic (which becoming Greek Orthodox would entail).
