Yes, why wouldn’t it be OK? Some people like the touch and feel of paper, some could care less. Just be sure to mute the sound on whatever device you use.
It should be all right, but be careful not to shine it in other people’s eyes. You may want to sit in a spot where this will not happen.
Be especially careful using it at any service where the church is darkened. People don’t want to see your eBook reader glowing along with the candlelight.
