Have you… any personal insight to the unknown author or opinion`s to his puzzled and disorderly quest!!

I`m not so sure sometimes that he was confused, and when, was he just suffering for his intrinsic and analytical mind or his metaphorical situation!

He sounds very catholic to me. Especially with his search for wisdom and his conclusion that you can not get to the bottom of it…8:16-17

Also his relevant osmoses of the female;…7:26-28

I suppose to those that see his writings, as just puzzled or negative,he ends such discourse with certain truth…12:13-14…Fear God and keep his commandments.

I like him, and have felt much similitude and affection, less not sorrow, for him also…

I like him too, he seems humane.

His encouragement to enjoy life in moderation on the one hand (3:22, 5:17, 8:15, 9:7), while remembering God and His commandments on the other (11:1, 11:10, 12:13), sounds Catholic to me.

But there was something new under the sun, after his days – a Savior, who opened the gates of paradise! And the saint and the sinner and the beast do not not all share the same fate as he thought. Still, there is wisdom in his book.

You might be interested Three Philosophies of Life, by Peter Kreeft. One third of the book is devoted to the philosophy of Ecclesiastes. Or so I understand, I haven’t read it. I did read some of Mr. Kreeft’s other books in years past and, as I recall, found some wisdom there too, presented clearly and sincerely.
