Can anyone explain to me in more depth what ecstacy is…I mean, I read a little bit about it but I’m confused…
 
Read the volumes on the life of Saint Teresa of Avila.Ecstacy, is like what Paul experienced when he got cought up to the third heaven.God does this not the mystic.They can’t control it at all.Poor Saint Teresa would get very embarassed because she would get caught up in an ecstacy and literaly rise off the ground.God Bless
 
That still doesn’t explain…I’m taking it like it’s where you focus on something and aren’t aware of what’s around you…something like that? Then you float in the air? WHAT?!?

PS That doesn’t happen to everybody who has been caught up in an ecstacy.

And now are you looking for the inner workings of an Ecstacy?

I have been Catholic for almost 50 years and I don’t know the answer to your question. One thing at a time, eh?

How do you know it’s that and not your imagination or your brain doing weird things?

I mean, is it like when you dream, you have no control over what you’re dreaming, you just dream what you dream? Is it that concept?

So how do you know if it’s that and not your brain doing weird things to you?

Is it kinda like when you’re dreaming, you have no control over your dreams, just dream whatever? Is it like that kind of concept?
