I would rather pray the Liturgy of the Hours in front of abortion clinis instead of the rosary. I believe that the LOTO is more suitable for that kind of movement. First, it is much more ecumenical and would not attract all the negative feelings towards Catholics, the Blessed Mother and misunderstood devotions. The rosary is a private devotion whereas the LOTO is liturgical and public prayer of the Church. The LOTO falls second on to the Mass and would be more appealing with Protestants present. It would also avoid more of the attention on Catholicism rather the pregnant women struggling with decisions.

Thoughts.

LotH is still pretty Catholic though, and could be quite daunting to Protestants who’ve never memorized or practiced Formal Prayer before. I’ve heard the Divine Mercy Chaplet aught to be prayed in front of Abortion Mills, and that Protestants might be able to pray that too, though I suppose they’d have to just stay quite through the begining Creed and Hail Mary.

I’ve thought about the Chaplet of Divine Mercy. You probably don’t realize just how many other Protestants actually do something similar. And the Creed was covered in my former Fundamental Evangelical church by the preacher, which means he received permision from the Elders/Bishops. We actually recited it together. When I was converting I felt far better praying the LOTH than the rosary. I still prefer it. However, I try to say the rosary everyday, typically while driving to or from work. And I pray it in Latin. I think I’d like to start a group to pray the rosary in Latin as well.

I’m not talking about necessarily praying it together with them unless they want to. But we it would be a better example to them by the fact that it would be prayed in community, which is more fitting that the private devotion of the rosary.

If you want to do even more then the Jesus Prayer would also be very good. My chikoti fell off my wrist after New Years and I have to get another one. But that too would be very ecumenical and give goo representation for the Eastern Church as well.
