If your Easter Vigil isn’t at least three hours long, you’re doing it wrong.
It does depend on the size of the Church. Besides, the Pope did his in 2 1/2 hours 🤷 I doubt he was doing it wrong 😃
(Actually, ours went past 1am, which is well after midnight 😛 )

My brother came into the Church this weekend at the vigil Mass. Mass began at 8:00pm and finished a bit before 11pm.

My 6 month old had no problems, but my 20 month old didn’t sleep a wink. After Mass we had a 2 hour drive home. All in all it was quite an experience.

Do folks that live way up North have masses that start at around 4 or 5?

It is possible to have a 2 1/2 hour EV even with all the unabridged readings, and the fire procession; we did!!!

Of course, not being a parish, there were no baptisms or RCIAs.
