Ever notice how when you choose to be disobedient, other things in your life seem to go bad. I thought I would create a thread where we could post some of these so others could learn without having to endure them.

I have noticed that when you select to be in disobedience, that God’s protection around you is not as strong as it usually is. You have given the enemy an avenue to approach. He often jumps right in and causes more trouble.

I have noticed that in disobedience, pain is harder to endure, and the body is more vulnerable to illness.

Tempers tend to be shorter.

Blinding ourself to the Truth becomes a lot easier.

I agree with you, and I’ve heard it said slightly differently: “Sin blinds you.” But I am blessed with a certain curse, I guess. Sin may blind me, but I have a muscular and well-developed conscience, particularly when I’m trying to live the faithful life. When I choose to be disobedient, it feels like my world and my very foundation crubles into nothing. Everything feels worthless.

Ah, “Catholic guilt.” It can be a very good thing.

Ummm…how do you spell sede-vacant-ism?

Peace and all good,

Are you talking about obedience to God?

Disobedience to any lawful authority except where the disobedience is morally required. God is one of many lawful authorities.
