This is for all of the very kind and considerate excellent Catholic men and women who took the time to read my posts and help me and my intended.
Well, I just proposed to my lady friend, Annie, and she accepted. I asked for an early marriage date, but we decided upon May/June 2020. This was for two reasons: 1) she has a great many other stressors in her life at present and the idea of planning a wedding now is just too much for her. There are many folks who need to be invited. and 2) her only child has not gotten over losing her father 2 years ago and finds it hard to warm up to me and the idea of her mom remarrying.
Annie, told Laura that she wasn’t looking for her permission just her understanding of her desire to remarry and her well wishes. My fiancée is very kind and wants to provide her daughter the space and time to work through this.
Annie and I acknowledged and discussed our recent inappropriate behavior and its consequences for our souls’ well-being and the scandal that it represents. We both agreed to live chastely until our wedding several months off. We will cohabitate as brother and sister during that interval. Should that be problematic as an occasion of sin for us, we will desist with even that. I have been to Confession and she will do the same, so that we can each participate in a sacramental life.
Thanks to all of you for your immeasurable help and charity. May God Bless us one and all. Peace, Love and Joy,
Roy
