Elements of trad'l baptism rite (salt) in revised rite?

We’re having our new baby baptized on Sunday in the “ordinary form” of the baptismal rite. However, I am wondering if the priest might be open to including some elements of the traditional rite? I noticed in the comparison of the rites that many of the exorcisms have been deleted as well as the imposition of salt.

Any thoughts on whether it is OK to ask the priest (family friend) to include the imposition of salt, while still doing the new rite?

Ditto… can you provide any more details? ie, Are you saying it’s available as part of the standard sacramentary, b/c I’m not seeing anything about imposition of salt here:

The exorcism is in there as an option but I never saw anything in it about salt.
