I found a religious cd of Elvis and bought it because it has a song titled the Miracle of the Rosary. I was curious.

It begins

Oh Blessed Mother we pray to thee. Thanks for the miracle of your rosary. Only you can hold back your Holy Sons hand long enough for the whole world to understand. Then he sings the Hail Mary. I have always been a fan of Elvis. This amazed me that he would sing this song. Has anyone else heard it?

I haven`t heard the actual song but have heard of it. Elvis was deeply spiritual, I dont think he was a Catholic though but he has recorded some very good religious material.

Yes he was very spiritual. It says on the insert that he was Assembly of God this also surprised me because I thought he was Baptist.

Yes, I have heard it. I bought his Gospel Album, mainly because of that song. I love Elvis’ music. He was raised in the Assembly of God church, but later in life he became interested in new-age and metaphysical types of beliefs (I think his hairdresser got him hooked on this). I know he at least read up on many of these things (it was in the Elvis and Me book that Priscilla wrote) and I heard when he died he was wearing both a Star of David and a Cross. Then last year when they had that new documentary called Elvis by the Presleys, Priscilla said he and her, and his entourage sometimes frequented some sort of self-awareness center (exact name???) that sounded very much like Scientology.

I have seen this on a TV add, but not heard the music.
There is a broadway show comming out about Elvis called " All Shook-Up!" Priscilla is helping with the production.
Sounds like a fun one to see for all the Elvis fans out there!
