I read stuff — on both sides of the ecclesiastical and political spectrum — that is so extreme, I’d probably get flagged for mentioning the names of some of them. Then I make up my own mind. I’ve read articles from The Advocate now and then. You won’t get cooties. And I say that as a man who has admired women, and only women, now going into my seventh decade of mortal coil. Nothing’s going to change that.Jbrady:
Well I guiltily take pride on regarding myself open to considering a wide range of views on a wide spectrum of topics. Perhaps you might consider joining me in doing the same? Thanks, Ian. Didn’t realize that you were such a big fan of The Advocate, the nation’s leading LGBT news outlet. Well, I guess we all have our guilty pleasures.
I don’t believe this will be on the cards. The general sense doesn’t suggest it, but I believe he will be remembered as an obedient son of the Church having great faith in both the leadership of both JPII and Francis.I think it would sound nice to call him “St. Benedict XVI” in the future
