Encouraging books

Hello – Having been recently diagnosed with a chronic illness, I am looking for recommendations of books to read that will draw me closer to Christ and encourage me with the daily physical and emotional (and spiritual!!) struggles of a diagnosis.

What would you recommend?

Hi, Jenny. The Joy of Suffering is something I found very helpful. I was diagnosed with a chronic illness almost two years ago and it was rough going for a while spirituality. I’ve read it now a couple of times (I have to admit, at first it was hard for me to accept that there was in fact any joy in suffering), but it’s become clearer to me as time has gone by.
