Hey sweet friends of CAF~ HAPPY (Slightly Belated) THANKSGIVING! Hugs
While preparing to go to my grandparents’ house the other day (HURRAY FOOD!) , I’d been thinking- looking forward to my meeting on the 27th with Father- and kinda trying to figure out the meaning of a dream I had, the night before!
(O__O) Now, gosh, you guys, I haven’t had a dream in a WHILE. So that makes it kinda unique, anyway, but it was the topic of the dream that caught me off guard!
I’m sure I’ve read about this, in my researching all things Catholic- but I’m not sure what such an action signifies-
In my dream, a priest walked over, and made the sign of the cross on my forehead. (?)
There may have been more to the dream, maybe some words said, but that was the part that stuck with me, when I woke up. Hopefully it’s a good sign that I’m doing the right thing! (woohooo!)
I’m still having my moments of doubt- the other day I made a sound somewhere between a squealing tea-kettle and a sick elephant, and said, “EEEEEEEGHAAAAHH, what am I doing??”
But I’ve visited a lotta wonderful churches, in the past year-
a couple non-denominational ones (Which I loved- there was such a positive energy and so much love between members.)
A Pentacostal one (Which kinda scared me a little- just 'cause it’s so different- but made me really happy for the peeps there because ya can tell they love being there! And people were very kind and inviting)
A Baptist one (Which was fun because they were all so sweet- and it was also a mostly African American population, so they called me their ‘little Casper The Friendly Ghost’ (Which I loved), heehee, and hugged me a lot )
And a few other ones, which were also awesome
And yet…for some reason I just feel drawn to Catholicism (And all of the sweet, incredible people within the Church) - despite not having attended a mass yet~ (I realize that prolly sounds awfully silly)
I’ve loved taking this journey though, drawing closer to my faith, to God. And I do feel like this is the right thing, despite my moments of doubt~
