FYI: In 2008, there were given alternatives to the usual form of dismissal. It was approved by Rome
  1. “Ite ad Evangelium Domini nuntiandum” (Go and announce the Gospel of the Lord)
  2. “Ite in pace, glorificando vita vestra Dominum” (Go in peace, glorifying the Lord by your life)
  3. “Ite in pace” (Go in peace)
See? That’s all I’m talking about.

Since I seldom attend Masses in English, I usually hear the Priest saying “Go in peace.” When I attend masses in my parish (the Mass is in Filipino), the priest uses the Filipino equivalent of “Go in peace” (“Taglayin ninyo sa pag-alis ang kapayapaan ni Kristo” lit.: Bring with you Christ’s peace as you leave).
