Hi,
My fiancée and I are getting married in June. We are both Catholic and are currently living together at my parents house along with my younger brother. We do not share the same bed; I sleep on an air mattress while my fiancée sleeps in my bed. My fiancée’s family lives two and a half hours away and we thought it’d be best if we stayed with my parents until the wedding so we could focus on wedding planning and such. Obviously, we both care about each other’s spiritual lives and do everything in our power to avoid being in the occasion of sin. Is this morally acceptable to be living in the same house with my parents and brother before we are married or is it only acceptable for short periods of time such as family visits.

Thanks!

As long as it’s not leading you into sin it should be fine. I would avoid spending too much time in the room or alone in the house with your fiancée. Besides, potentially being an occasion of sin, you also need to set a good example for siblings who live there.

I don’t see an issue, this is obviously a temporary arrangement without the intention to commit sin. I’d say just to take care to avoid entering occasions of sin, set a good example for your younger sibling, and congrats on your wedding very soon!
