Enjoy Christmas 🎄 Take none of it for granted

I just felt the need to let this out in case some of you might be having some complaints about Christmas this year with the coronavirus going on. Maybe you disliked shopping for gifts or visiting relatives or the constant Christmas music. Enjoy every bit of it. All of it. I won’t be getting any of these things.

I’m in a place where Christmas doesn’t exist. No one cares about it here and the government and patriotic Chinese people have a disdain for it and any who celebrate it. I find myself working on Christmas . Christmas Eve and Christmas Day turned out to be just a normal day with normal work hours. I feel like I should have taken the day off at least I could pray or video call my family in Murica but instead I chose to work.

The nearest Catholic Church is 300 miles away. So I only really have a chance to go to Mass once or twice a year.

All I’m trying to say is Don’t take any of it for granted. Bathe in the Holiday Spirit and savor every drop.

Merry Christmas! I hope you find some little way to celebrate. And I hope you get out of there soon.

I offered my Christmas Mass in part for all those who can’t have Mass. In many places people can’t go to Mass because of COVID, but there are also places like yours where there isn’t a Catholic Church around. It used to be like that in USA only about 200 years ago - unless you lived in some big city, or near some area where the Jesuits or Franciscans had a mission, you’d maybe see a priest a couple times a year when he rode around to your town.

Merry Christmas. I voluntarily chose not to social distance (lady even asked me if I would be more comfy sitting somewhere else), and that wasn’t to flog rules, I just didn’t want to get up.

Merry Christmas. It must be tough where you are. So many things you could not enjoy so we will enjoy it all for you. From a distance these words are like a Catholic Basilica which you could not detect. Prayers are being sent for you to enjoy or direct as you wish.

Many draconian governments could not explicitly celebrate Christmas with you, only through you. A disdainful sniff is more participation than most have been able to evoke. So that’s a great witness to forward planning. Keep up the great work, enjoy then rejoice your hardships with us. Suffer well.

Obligatory: “We love you.” Draconians love to giggle at that.

Blessedly I got to go to mass just one week ago! I was so ecstatic! I will still keep you in my prayers because I understand what you are saying!!!
